Troy Flight

Troy began his optical journey as an optical assistant in 2012 at Specsavers at Mt Hutton and studied with TAFE NSW in 2014 to gain his Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing. Troy is also an in-store trainer and has since moved from Mount Hutton to Specsavers at Lake Haven where has uses his experience and knowledge to train the team in all aspects of dispensing. Troy also works as a locum optical dispenser for a variety of other practices.

He has extensive retail management experience having previously worked for big brands including Priceline, Coles and Woolworths.

Troy currently works as a part-time trainer with ACOD, starting in 2021 and has been developing skills to assist the next crop of optical assistants gain their qualification as optical dispensers ever since. Troy is a qualified Trainer and Assessor and also works as an e-commerce Distribution Officer with Optical Dispensers Australia (ODA).
